The UMA 2 package lets you create customizable characters. Whether you need a NPC, a hero or a villain this pack is for you!

UMA is a vibrant open source community as recently proven when SecretAnorak stepped up and created a series of super awesome tutorial videos. They cover pretty much all the basics and are a must see! UMA Tutorials!

The UMA 2 version is radically faster and easier to create content for.
With UMA 2 you can use UMAMaterials to control which textures are
atlassed together or disable atlassing altogether for certain slots.

If you're upgrading from UMA 1x don't forget to read the [Upgrade Guide].

With the UMA Humanoid DNA system you have 46 tweakable values to adjust
everything from height to ear rotation, giving you an infinite variety
of custom characters.

Even better, with the UMA system you can define your own extensions to
extend the existing humanoid or fully replace it with your own vision of
the perfect adjustments for your game.

The meshes are built at run-time allowing you to change gear/clothing
and instantly update the characters while your game is running.

In UMA 2 we removed support for the Unity 4.x free license, this allowed
us to cut a big chunk of legacy code. If you're using the Unity 4.x
free license we recommend that you grab the free Unity 5 and enjoy UMA
the way it was meant to be.

Development of the original UMA 1 Package was sponsored by Unity
Technologies and made open source, the UMA 2 upgrade is completely
community driven!
